In short
- $15 a year per laptop, charged in rupees as ₹1,299 through Easebuzz.
- Try every feature free for 7 days first. No card needed.
- It never renews by itself: no auto-debit, and we never store your card.
- If a licence ends, protection pauses and everything you’ve locked still opens.
Price
A FaceLock licence costs US$15 a year for one laptop, Windows or Mac, with every feature, including the Safe. The charge is made in Indian rupees: ₹1,299. If your card isn’t in rupees, your bank converts it and may add its own fee. Any applicable taxes are shown at checkout before you pay.
Phone licences, for Android and iPhone, are separate, at US$15 a year per phone. They’re coming soon.
Try it free first
Every feature is free for 7 days, one trial per laptop. You don’t need a card or an account, and nothing is charged when the trial ends. The trial is how you try FaceLock before you pay, which is why purchases are only refunded in the cases our refund policy lists.
Paying
- On the Buy page, enter your name, email address and mobile number. The payment gateway requires a mobile number.
- You go to the payment page of our payment partner, Easebuzz, and pay ₹1,299 with one of the methods it offers there. Which methods you see, such as cards, UPI or net banking, is up to Easebuzz.
- Once the payment is confirmed, you come back to facelock.io and see your licence key.
You enter your payment details on Easebuzz’s page, not ours, so we never see or store your card, UPI or bank details.
If payments aren’t live yet
We’re finishing the last step with Easebuzz. Until it’s done, the Buy and Renew pages say payments aren’t live yet, and nothing is charged. The 7-day free trial works in the meantime, and if you email [email protected] we’ll tell you when payments open.
Your licence key
Your licence key is shown on the confirmation page as soon as your payment is confirmed. Copy it and keep it somewhere safe. It’s what activates FaceLock, and the key is also in the confirmation page’s address, so treat that page like the key itself.
To activate, open FaceLock from the tray (Windows) or menu bar (Mac), choose Enter licence key and paste it. Lost it? If FaceLock is activated, open Licence in the app to see it. Otherwise email [email protected] from the address you paid with.
One licence, one laptop
A licence covers one laptop at a time. To move it to a new laptop, enter your key there: FaceLock asks whether to move it, and moving switches it off on the old laptop. You can move a licence yourself three times a year. Going back to the laptop it was last on doesn’t count as a move. For more moves, email [email protected].
Renewing
Licences never renew automatically. There’s no auto-debit and we don’t store your card, so nobody is charged for another year unless they pay again themselves. To renew, enter your key on the Renew page and pay for another year.
A renewal adds a year from the later of today and your current expiry date, so renewing early never wastes a day. FaceLock picks up the new year by itself the next time it’s online.
When a licence ends
When a licence or trial expires, protection pauses: lid and wake lock, app lock, walk-away lock and locking new items switch off until you renew. Everything you’ve already locked always opens with your face, Hello / Touch ID, PIN or recovery key, and your Safe still opens and exports. An expired licence isn’t refunded.
Problems with a payment
- The payment failed, but money left your account. Banks normally reverse a failed payment automatically. If yours hasn’t, email [email protected] with the time, the amount and the payment reference.
- You were charged twice for one order, charged a different amount from the one at checkout, or charged without your permission. These are refunded: see the refund policy.
Refunds
Because the free trial lets you try everything first, purchases aren’t refundable, except for a duplicate payment, a charge for a different amount from the one at checkout, or a charge you didn’t authorise. The refund policy has the details.
